ऑस्ट्रेलिया Climate Overview
Australia's climate ranges from tropical in the north to temperate in the south, with a vast arid interior. Seasons are reversed from the Northern Hemisphere. The northern regions experience wet and dry seasons, while the south has four distinct seasons. Coastal cities enjoy mild, sunny weather for much of the year.
Seasonal Patterns
Summer (December–February) brings heat waves to the interior and tropical cyclones to the north. Autumn (March–May) is mild and pleasant. Winter (June–August) is cool in the south with snow in the Australian Alps. Spring (September–November) sees increasing bushfire risk.
Weather Considerations
Australia faces extreme heat events with temperatures exceeding 50°C in the interior. Bushfire season has grown longer and more intense. Tropical cyclones affect the northern coast. The Great Barrier Reef faces threats from rising sea temperatures and coral bleaching.
